and right on into 2010...and for as long
as you're in operation!
The webinar was previously recorded
and is now available for download.

Note: This is an expanded and enhanced version of the session that Meggin offered to a standing-room only crowd at a recent POD Conference and a NAPO Conference.

Just answer these questions:
- Do you have classes, workshops, or other offerings that
don’t have enough - or don't have the right - participants?
- Do you have a service that others need and you know
your program is the right place to offer the service, but
people don’t know to contact you about it?
- Do you have lots of potential participants, but not an
unlimited budget for reaching them?
If the answer is “Yes,” to at least one of these questions, then
you need to know more about marketing.
Marketing = Being on the “customer’s” mind
when the customer is ready to “buy.”

This webinar, “Maximize Your Marketing Efforts (When Your
Center, Department, Program, or other Entity is Short of Cash!)” is intended for those who don’t have an unlimited budget and who would
love to have a broader reach and a more faithful following.
Does this sound familiar, by any chance?!
The briskly-paced 2-hour webinar offers no-cost and low-cost
strategies that will serve to bring you more of the people you
want in your programs (that is, if you implement the ideas!)
If you have an MBA, then you may have a sense of how
to create and implement an effective marketing plan. If you
don’t have an MBA (&/or if you’ve never actually marketed a
service or product), then this workshop will give you the
tools to get started.

“My goal was to learn from the goddess and boy, howdie, now I am excited about marketing! I need to create a plan and it needs to be well thought out—a campaign vs. more of a hit-or-miss method. Duh!”
~ Julie-Ann McFann
“Great presentation—very engaging. Thank you! I’m going to share with the professional development committee.”

About the Webinar Presenter:
Meggin McIntosh, Ph.D., known as "The Ph.D. of Productivity™" was the founding Director of the Excellence in Teaching Program at the University of Nevada, Reno. The ETP was created because when Meggin first started offering the IDEAS for Professors course while still a regular faculty member, there were waiting lists semester after semester. When the ETP became a full-time operation, Meggin had to learn how to market various courses, programs, and services. Since then, she has continued to learn from many experts as she has started her own company - and needs to market every day.

Fantastic! Clear! This is information that can be applied. I learned so many concepts and ideas that I’m going to apply that there’s not space to write them on the evaluation sheet! One key concept is that ‘marketing is a process, not an event.’

Why market?
"Marketing is when you apprise others of your value."
~Alan Weiss
If your center, program, department, or service has value, then you need to be marketing...today, this week, next month, and always.
