30 Articles in Just 30 Days

“The way I see it, every one of us in the writing business starts off
with precisely the same tools, the 26 letters of the alphabet. All
we can do is try to arrange those 26 letters in a different way
than anyone else has before.”
  ~Bob Greene

If you want to learn some ways to arrange
those 26 letters into articles, then join us
for the
upcoming special event, which
starts on Saturday, October 16, 2010
from 8:00 a.m. - noon/Pacific.

Dr. Meggin McIntosh, "The Ph.D. of Productivity,"™ has created and will be leading this unique event along with Gini Cunningham, author and writing coach.  For a full description of what you can expect, just keep reading...

30 Articles in Just 30 Days

Consider this:

  • We live in a digital age.
  • People who want information want it now, i.e., whenever they
want it (and you know you do, too!)
  • Google yourself and your topic—are you on the first page?
  • Would people be able to find out about you and your areas of
expertise if they Googled you? If you write articles, they will be.

Publishing articles on the internet is a fabulous way to:

  • showcase your expertise
  • share your knowledge
  • offer your information to others
  • provide folks around the globe to have access your research
  • disperse your experience and reflections for other people’s benefit
  • ensure that others know about your organization or association
  • and more….

What Previous Participants Are Saying:

“I've written more in the last 5 days than

I have in the last 4-5 months! I finally

finished a draft of an article I started

last November and I'm cranking

through a chapter that I'm going to use

in my book proposal.

This is a great teleseminar!  I'm

recommending it to all of the members

of my faculty writers group. It was so

worth the money and the time. Thanks!”

~Robin Lightner, Ph.D.
University of Cincinnati

“I have managed to write everyday and have

managed to push through some less than

optimal circumstances to do it. I just submitted

my second article to EzineArticles.com and

have done more writing at work than I have in

ages. In the last week I have written four short

pieces for various reasons and I'm about

halfway through reworking a scholarly article

on my research (It's 7000 words, so this is not

a small undertaking). I won't say it's easy. But

it is do-able. Thanks!”

~Beverly Delidow, Ph.D.
Marshall University

About Your Workshop Creator and Facilitator:

Meggin McIntosh, Ph.D., known as "The Ph.D. of Productivity™" was a teacher, graduate student, university professor, and now a business owner.  Throughout her career, it's been important for her to 'market' what she does and one of the ways she has done that, particularly in the last few years, is through articles.

As a professor, Meggin published scores of articles and books, and in the last year, has published over 450 articles on the internet, which have subsequently been re-published throughout cyberspace. This has resulted in a multitude of contacts for workshops, teleseminars, and other working relationships—all because people learned about “The Ph.D. of Productivity™” through her articles.

The benefits continue to roll out each week--and they can for you, as well.

More....What People are Saying:

“I've been up, before 6 a.m. writing, for 30 minutes, for seven days. That in and of itself is exciting for me. But I am most proud of today, the eighth day. Today I slept late. I woke up groggy, despite eight hours of sleep. I didn't feel like writing anything. I had a breakfast meeting with my writing buddy and knew it would be a tight squeeze to get there on time. I wanted to skip my writing time, just today. I didn't. I pulled my laptop over and began pounding out a paragraph I needed to add to my book proposal introduction. It was supposed to be "bold," have a strong sense of who I am, etc. etc. I didn't feel bold or enthusiastic or much of anything positive when I started. But after half an hour I had my draft. I was only 12 minutes late to my meeting (I called ahead) and my writing had worked. I was energized. I'd addressed the critique I'd received in class. I'd moved forward.

“So, thanks for the prompts and the encouragement.”   ~Marydee Sklar, Author & Speaker

More of 'What People are Saying:'

“Finally! Here I am, finished with book number one. After participating in the 30 Articles in Just 30 Days teleseminar, I have created quite a "parking lot" for my writing ideas. It was wonderful to see in writing during the teleseminar how much I do have to say, and how much I already have done, without even realizing it!

“I first completed an article for parenting magazines.  But, that was just the start.

“I began digging through my files at work, pulling out all of my educational strategies I had created, and compiled them into my first book, Learning is Just a Game! Using Collaborative Games to Engage Students at Higher Cognitive Levels. I am in the process of submitting it to several educational publishers, and thrilled to have accomplished what I've always dreamed to do.
“Thanks to you and Gini for making it possible, and giving me the knowledge and confidence to go for it!”

~Michele Luck UNLIMITED LUCK, LLC Facilitator/Coach/Speaker www.unlimitedluckllc.com

“I did get the "gig" as Corey Farley's replacement in the Reno News & Review, and am now experiencing the excitement and discipline of writing a weekly column on "liberal" perspectives. (The cartoon portrait of me is horrific, but at least no strangers will accost me in the street). I am finding this to be an incredibly positive challenge, as each week I have to come up with material and submit 600 words for the following week. It takes a lot of thought and, at the moment, a lot of time, but I'm hopeful that the discipline of doing this will push me to be more streamlined and creative with my writing--not to mention more confident.

“Both of these are a direct result of the "30 days" workshop, which gave me the confidence and discipline to move in this direction--particularly to start treating my ordinary, everyday experiences (ok, and some extraordinary ones too) as subject matter for writing. Thanks so much to you and Gini!”

~Dr. Jen Huntley-Smith

More....What People are Saying:

“I think the best outcomes for me so far were:

1) the fact that I just got started and stopped waiting for big chunks of time to write;

2) learned that there is always something writing-wise where I can be making progress, so when I get stuck on one article or project, I hop to another;

3) I think about writing every day, and write on 5-7 days average;

4) when I am totally blocked on my current projects, I start drafting grant applications and documents that will be due at a predictable time in the future, thus wasting less time procrastinating and helping to alleviate some of the stress of the crunch times and coming deadlines.

5) Giving myself positive feedback about my work makes it easier to write when I don't feel like it.

“This last one and #3 were really important, because it means that every time I write I am guaranteed to have something to feel good about. I've underestimated the value of getting a draft started in the past. Learning how valuable this is on ALL types of writing (not just academic publications) was a huge lesson.”

“Simple stuff over all, but important to me.”

~Brenda A. Risch, Ph.D., Director of Women's Studies
University of Texas at El Paso

How will the event be scheduled & structured?

You may be wondering...'4 hours?  Am I going to be on the telephone for 4 hours?"

The answer is, "No."  In general terms, here is how the main kick-off event will be scheduled:

Hour 1:

Overview, specific schedule for the day, instruction on getting started on your idea generation & writing; actually getting started on your writing for a portion of the time with call-in/email support from Meggin & Gini, as needed.

Hour 2:

Additional structures for writing multiple articles; ways of getting started (and how to keep going); then writing time with call-in/email support from Meggin & Gini, as needed.

Hour 3:

Even more structures for how to write many articles in relatively brief periods of time; surprising answers to the question of how to generate the number of words you need for an article; then answers to the question of how to generate the number of words you need for an article; then writing time with call-in/email support from Meggin & Gini, as needed.

Hour 4:

Now what?  Scheduling (YES SCHEDULING) time after the 'event' so that you keep your momentum going; getting others to 'help' you follow through on your commitment,
Q
& A.
